 This strategy begins when the minimum payments are made on credit cards each month, effectively taking from one card to repay several others. This simply will not work. More lines of credit are needed and the debt burden just increases. Minimum payments will be missed, defaults are placed on credit files, credit limits are often removed and the downward spiral accelerates out of control.
